Ravenspoint Marketing in 2017 - The highlights!
As the fantastic whirlwind of 2017 is drawing to a close, I wanted to take the opportunity to reflect on the year. I have been lucky to work with a wide variety of businesses, meet some fantastic people and make some new friends along the way. My diary has already started to fill with some great projects for 2018 - so my fingers are crossed that this is going to be another cracking year! Below I've knocked together a summary of some of the highlights:
An Introduction to Ravenspoint:
I work with a variety of SMEs creating and designing fully optimised websites and a variety of marketing support products that my clients can maintain themselves. Marketing underpins all of the websites I create and throughout the building process I help my clients understand their customer’s goals and the needs of their business.
My service offerings are simple, clear and effective for the benefit of my clients and for myself. This applies to all aspects of my business from my initial consultation through to final project delivery. The corporate experience I have helps me to stick to that ethos using the project managing skills I have developed.
Working with a diverse client group from a wide range of businesses and disciplines keep me on my toes. This variety means I am always learning and developing my own skills and business practice as each client comes with a new challenge! I am able to always offer new skills and concepts each time I work with a new client.
Young Business Person of The Year (Finalist!)
I was lucky enough to be a finalist in the Cheshire Business Awards for Young Business Person of the Year. Although I didn't win this year, it was such an amazing event to be part of and I felt very proud to be a finalist. I would really recommend anyone that works for themselves to enter a business award - it really helps you reflect on your journey and where you are on your business journey. I'll definitely be entering again next year.
I have worked with some fantastic clients building some fab websites and guiding their marketing efforts with workshops and marketing plans. Examples of my diverse customers range from: building firms, bespoke jewellers, classical music festivals, food and drinks bar & osteopaths. I have popped a few of my favourites on my portfolio page for you to see.
Fantastic client feedback
There is nothing better than getting great feedback from clients after you have completed a project. I have been really lucky to get some wonderful feedback this year from some fab clients - it puts a huge spring in your step! I'd say 95% of my new clients come from referrals so having great feedback I can share is vital.
Cheshire WiRE (Women in Rural Enterpris
Having really enjoyed WiRE networks in Shropshire, I was keen to join a group when I moved to Chester - alas there was none to be found! So, I contacted WiRE HQ and asked if I could take on the challenge of leading the Cheshire branch. We know how important networking with like-minded business women is and we know how these networks can improve your skills, boost your confidence and bring you new business.
WiRE Networks provide the opportunity to share knowledge, ideas, expertise and generate business growth through referrals. If you are interested in joining us, get in touch!
... and I got married!
I'm not quite sure how I did it.. but I managed to have juggled running my business whilst planning a wedding! We got married in June on a blazing hot day at my family home in Shropshire. I won't pretend that having a wedding at home is simple to organise.. it takes time, preparation, lists (and more lists!) which resulted in a wonderful, crazy magical day. Thank you to my wonderful family and friends for being there will us to celebrate!
